CHOSEN PHOTOGRAPHS- FRONT COVER

I liked this one for the main cover image, because the model is looking straight down the camera, engaging with the readers. I think that creates a connection and the reader will be more enticed to buy it. This time round, the model is looking towards the camera, creating a better atmosphere than last time. This picture also feels very open to me, the model looks cheery and I think would create an inviting, pleasant vibe to customers. As this is an 'indie' magazine, indie artists tend to generally wear their own clothes as opposed to what a 'Pop' artist would wear. Therefore I dressed the model in normal skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a denim jacket to try to create that 'indie' style. When constructing the cover I will edit away the background and change the lightning effects to make it look brighter and as if its in a studio.
Vinyl records are traditionally associated with old music and possibly 'indie' style. Somewhere in my magazine I wanted an image relating to a vinyl record. I plan to just make it a small one but effective. I chose this image because it looks easy to cut out and edit.
